A day at the runway,

Inspired by Challenge Air, built for our community by a small, family-led ABA practice that shows up.

What to expect

What the day looks like.

  • Walk the tarmac

See, touch, and sit in the planes up close. Take photos, ask questions, and explore the flight line at your child's pace.

  • Take a flight

A once-in-a-lifetime ride in a single-engine general aviation aircraft, flown by Holiday Airways pilots.

  • Sensory play and bounce house

A dedicated space to burn energy, quiet down, or take a break when the day gets to be a lot.

  • Free lunch, snacks, and drinks

Food vendors on site throughout the event. Lunch is on us, so families can stay and enjoy the day.

  • Meet the pilots

Friendly meet-and-greets with the pilots flying that day. Bring your questions, bring your camera.

  • Meet other families

Built-in time to connect with other Chicagoland families and the wider community that shows up for our kids.

Support on the day

Your child is supported all day, you're not on your own.

Our team of trained therapists will be on site throughout the event to help your child regulate, transition between activities, wait in line, climb into the cockpit, and take their flight. New environments can be a lot. We plan for that, so families can actually enjoy the day together.

About us

Why we're putting this day on.

Believing Is Achieving is a small, family-owned ABA practice serving families across Chicagoland. We are BCBA-led, not private equity owned. No outside investors, no growth quotas, no pressure to fill hours. We're here to help, not to scale.

Mariah

BCBA, Founder

Mariah is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and the founder of Believing Is Achieving. Her mission is simple: raise the standard for in-home ABA in Chicagoland, and build a practice that treats families the way she'd want her own family treated. She oversees clinical direction and quality across every case the team supports.

M

Michael

Director of Operations, Special Educator, Hobby Pilot

Michael is a former special education teacher and a hobby pilot. This event is where his two worlds meet: the kids he's spent his career championing, and the runway he loves. The whole idea for the Community Flight Day started with him asking a simple question, why shouldn't our kids get to fly too?

That's why we're doing this. Not as a marketing event, not as a funnel, just a day at the runway built for the families we already love working with, and the ones we haven't met yet. We hope you'll come fly with us.
